Buenos Aires, March 23 (NA) – On the 50th anniversary of the last coup d'état in Argentina, Plaza de Mayo will be the main stage for the 'Vigil for Identity', an organized event that will gather figures from entertainment, culture, and communication the night before March 24 to jointly commemorate the National Day of Memory, Truth, and Justice. According to the Argentine News Agency, the call for the Vigil, which will begin on Monday at 4:00 PM in Plaza de Mayo, is being organized by La Garganta Poderosa. Meanwhile, the UOM (Argentine Union of Metallurgy), which maintains a critical stance towards the leadership of the CGT, has disseminated its own call to mobilize alongside the Mothers and Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, among other organizations. The march and central event will be held on Tuesday, March 24, where a massive mobilization of groups is expected, setting out from the former ESMA and the National Congress towards Plaza de Mayo, carrying slogans against negationism and the economic adjustment policies of President Javier Milei's government. The event will also feature the participation of journalists and communicators such as philosopher Darío Sztajnszrajber, Sofía Calvo, and communicators Gustavo 'Gato' Sylvestre, Julia Mengolini, Flavio Azzaro, and Julia Eva.
